I began my journey into collecting my Abbott’s Magic Collection in 2005; however, I missed out on the earlier peak years when Abbott’s craftsmanship was at its finest. Initially, my focus was on Grant / MAK props, but over time, my appreciation for Abbott’s Magic grew as well.
As my Abbott’s Magic Trick Collection expanded, I became increasingly selective with my purchases. Since Abbott’s Magic was well-known for its exceptional craftsmanship and has long been recognized as a pioneer in magic and magic inventiveness, I naturally gravitated towards their exclusive line of stage and platform props. Consequently, these finely crafted pieces quickly became a cornerstone of my collection.
Abbott’s Magic is a well-established and respected brand in the magic industry. Furthermore, many magicians have fond memories of purchasing their first magic props from one of Abbott’s many catalogs. Founded in 1934 by Percy Abbott, the company operates out of Colon, Michigan, with over 50,000 square feet dedicated to supporting the craft of magic. Even today, Abbott’s continues to manufacture its own brand of magic tricks, maintaining the same attention to detail and quality.
As a result, original Abbott’s Magic props have become highly sought-after collectibles, with many pieces becoming increasingly rare.
