About the creator

Ulysses Fredrick Grant (1901–1972), the lecture’s creator, was an innovative and prolific magician known for his straightforward and effective magic. After starting his career selling magic effects, he eventually founded the U.F. Grant Magic Company and later, MAK Magic. His practical, no-frills approach to magic heavily influenced magicians who followed him.
