Hippity Hop Rabbits by MAK Magic is a classic “sucker” magic trick designed for children’s shows, where two rabbit cut-outs appear to switch places and eventually reveal a surprising color change. The “Streamlined” or “Vintage Metal” versions are noted for their durability and high-quality build compared to modern plastic or lightweight wood versions. 

The Hippity Hop Rabbits Effect

1. Transposition: The magician displays two rabbits—one black and one white—along with two decorative tubes.
2. The Switch: Each rabbit is covered by a tube. After a magic wave, the tubes are lifted to show the rabbits have swapped positions.
3. The “Sucker” Routine: The magician repeats the switch by turning the tubes around, leading the audience to suspect the rabbits are simply two-sided (black on one side, white on the other).
4. The Climax: To prove the audience wrong, the magician turns the rabbits around to reveal they have changed into completely different colors, such as red and yellow or red and blue.
