The Bunny Clown Magic Trick is a vintage, highly collectible children’s magic effect created by the renowned British magic manufacturer, Supreme Magic Company.

Invented by Ian Adair and beautifully handcrafted in wood by master maker Johnny Hocking, it offers a colorful and deceptive twist on the classic “Hippity Hop Rabbits” illusion.

Bunny Clown Magic Trick Effect

The performance relies on a classic “sucker” magic routine where children think they have figured out the secret, only to be completely fooled at the end.

• The Setup: The magician introduces a colorful wooden prop featuring a white rabbit sitting inside a top hat.
• The Color Change: The magician covers the rabbit and magically changes it from white to brown (or orange) and back again several times.
• The Sucker Twist: The children notice the magician turning the prop or hiding something, assuming the “other color” is simply painted on the back side of the board. They loudly demand to see the other side.
• The Big Reveal: When the magician finally turns the cutout around to appease the crowd, there is no brown rabbit—instead, it reveals a completely different, funny picture of a clown.
• Self-Contained: Unlike traditional Hippity Hop Rabbits routines, there are no shell covers or extra pieces to sneakily dispose of during the show.
• Angling Flexibility: Because it is self-contained, the trick can be performed completely surrounded by an audience without exposing the secret.
• Sizing: The cutout hat measures approximately 10.25 x 9.5 inches, while the main clown/white rabbit insert is 17.5 x 6 inches—making it a perfect size for stage or birthday party visibility.

2. The Rabbit/Clown Plaque: The main cutout plaque featuring the white rabbit on one side and the clown on the alternative side.
