Cubes! by Caramba Magic from Oscar Rui is a highly regarded, modern adaptation of the classic “Cube-A-Libre” parlor illusion. Originally conceived by P.T. Selbit c. 1906 as “Bewildering Blocks,” this style of effect has historically been known as Conradi Blocks, Magic Bricks, or Cube-Libre.

Cubes! by Caramba Magic Routine

The routine features numbered wooden blocks that are stacked inside a primary tube. Despite being mixed up, inverted, or arranged in random sequences, the blocks mysteriously restack themselves. In the Caramba Magic handling, the routine reaches a powerful climax where the physical blocks rearrange themselves to perfectly match a four-digit number freely chosen by an audience member and written on the tube.

• Streamlined Components: While standard Cube-A-Libre sets traditionally require two full tubes and six blocks, Oscar Rui’s variant cleverly streamlines the setup to utilize just one tube and four blocks.
• Integrated Slate Pieces: The black circles embedded on the front of the apparatus are constructed from real slate. This lets the performer use actual chalk to write down numbers or configurations live during the performance.
• High-End Craftsmanship: Built out of premium lacquered wood, the blocks measure roughly 3 inches square. The entire set is carefully calibrated by Caramba Magic to ensure silent, flawless operation during the secret loads and shell handling.

Because of its compact one-tube design, smooth mechanics, and high visibility, it is considered by prominent collectors and reviewers such as Andy Martin of Martin’s Magic Collection to be one of the best parlor or stage-sized variations of the Cube-A-Libre plot ever produced.

This apparatus come with everything as pictured including the carry case, extra numbers, and a DVD/CD disc for the routine and instructions. Overall this looks to be hardly used and remains in very collectible condition, ready for your shelf or performance.
