Dragon King’s Prison is a highly collectible, premium close-up magic apparatus designed and crafted by French magic maker Francois Danis. It belongs to a category of magic known as “wonder blocks” or “bewildering blocks”, combining precise mechanical craftsmanship with elegant storytelling.

Dragon King’s Prison Effect & Routine

The performance is themed around an ancient Chinese legend detailing the mythical battle between the Monkey King and the Dragon King.
It is a heavily upgraded variation of the classic “Elevator Dice” effect originally popularized by legendary craftsman Eddy Taytelbaum.
The Deluxe Version Features a custom-built travel case and includes elements to perform transpositions, a complete block vanish, and a clean reappearance.

Francois has taken the effect of Eddy Taytelbaum’s Elevator Dice to a whole new level with this beauty.  Whilst the basic tunnel is not quite as smooth and beautiful as Eddy’s spectacular version, by adding the travel case and the extra vanish Francois has created something that Collectors and story tellers will love even better. It is very similar in effect to Tony Lackner’s Tseng Tjeng but I don’t know if Francois had that in mind when he created this.
