• Effect: The magician displays a stack of seven checkers (one blue, six yellow) and a sleek metal cover. When the cover is placed over the stack, the blue checker is made to mysteriously jump from the top to the middle, the bottom, and back to the top without disturbing the other checkers.
• Method: The entire routine is mechanical in nature, designed by Carl Owen based on an original effect from 1924 by Austrian magician Hans Trunk, and requires no mirrors, magnets, or electronics.
