- The Setup: A live rabbit (or a puppet/toy bunny) is placed inside a specially designed wooden box.
- The “Sucker” Gag: The magician closes the doors and claims the bunny has vanished, tilting the box. The audience distinctly hears a sliding thud (or catches an obvious visual cue), realizing the bunny has just slid over to a hidden compartment on the other side.
- The Climax: After teasing the audience by opening alternating sides while the crowd screams “it’s on the other side!”, the magician opens all the doors simultaneously. The box is entirely empty, and the bunny has genuinely vanished.

Acquisition Details
- This is a very scarce and rare Bunny Vanish; 70 year old apparatus that shows its age and performance use.
- Wood has visible signs of cracking paint, one hinge is missing its pin.
- No instructions.
- “Fooled” base measures 13″ length 8.5″ width, the assembled base black enclosure measures 11.5″ length 7.75″ width 4″ height and the take-apart enclosure measures 10.5″ length x 6.5″ width 6.5″ height.
- It should be noted that although this prop is named as a “Bunny Vanish” at best the load bag may hold a very small baby rabbit, definitely nothing larger.
